ADP News 

 
Wednesday, 19th June 2013 - University of Ulster end of year show. 
 
This was an exceptionally well attended CPD seminar which was held at the University of Ulster at Jordanstown. 
 
The evening began with a CPD event by MAPEI on the topic of Fast Track Screeds and Sub-Floor Preparation. 
 
Following the CPD presentation by MAPEI there was a CIAT Presidential Address from the current President, Mr. Colin C. Orr PCIAT who spoke very highly of the region and the work that was being carried out by the regional members. 
 
The evening concluded with the presentation of student awards from the BSc Architectural & Technology & Management course and an opportunity to view samples of the students work / projects. 
 
ADP once again sponsored an award, the prize was for the best technical student of the year, and was judged by ADP.

University of Ulster End of Year Show
 
 
Tuesday, 14th May 2013 - CIAT Northern Ireland Region committee elections. 
 
The Northern Ireland regional committee of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists held their elections on the 14th May to select the new committee and regional officers. 
 
Eddie Weir announced he would be resigning his post of Continued Professional Development (CPD) Officer due to his election to serve on the CIAT professional conduct committee. 
He has organised many great building visits and informative lectures during his long service to the role of CPD officer. 
 
ADPs Matthew Weir and Eddie Weir were reelected onto the regional committee along with Barry Mullen. Following Barrys' election onto the committee he was elected to serve as the new CPD officer.  
Barry has begun organising exciting CPD events for the near future.

Monday, 7th January 2013 - ADP starts new University placement student. 
 
ADP have had a long standing tradition of mentoring a student from the Architectural Technology & Management course from the University of Ulster. Each year we take one of the best students the course has to offer and they complete their placement year with ADP.  
 
This year it is the turn of Mr. William Holland, a previous winner of the ADP Prize at one of the end of year shows. 
The placement student from last year, Mr. Craig Foster, has now finished his placement period and will be returning to University, he remarked on how much he has learnt from his time with ADP and that he has thoroughly enjoyed it
